Reflection on lifelong wellness class
The paper I have included on this website was one provided for us to fill out and include in our e-portfolio.
This was a good class for me. It reemphasized the importance of exercise and nutrition. A lot of what we covered I already knew but the one thing that wasn't really emphasized earlier in life was the benefits of stretching. I'm glad that I learned about how important stretching is for joint health. This is something I find I can fit into my day almost everyday. It is nice to find something that benefits my body that I can fit in on the busiest days. Health is something that has been a concern to me since my father passed away. As an adult it is sometimes easier for me to put things I already knew into perspective for how it can benefit me. This is one of those times I feel I was able to get a better perspecitive on prior knowledge. It was also a time that shows there is always something to learn. |
